Day 2: MIROS helmet safety ratings launch

| Description | The Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) has recently initiated a motorcycle safety helmet assessment and rating program, codenamed SHAPes (Safety Helmet Assessment Program for Southeast Asia). For the introductory phase, MIROS offers to take the leading role to design and develop SHAPes, up to the point of producing and launching of the inaugural safety rating. It is foreseen than the GRRSO Dialogue on Powered Two-Wheeler Safety and APRSO Annual Meeting would be a great platform to do the introduction and get initial endorsement from top road safety experts. |
| Session Objectives | The launch event offers opportunities to MIROS to describe and iterate the helmet assessment and rating initiative for the region. It would be a wonderful platform to engage road safety experts in the GRRSO and get their endorsement for the initiative |
