Description | This revised Powered two-and three-wheeler safety: a road safety manual for decision-makers and practitioners has updated the evidence on risk factors and interventions for PTW. It provides advice and examples that, if implemented accordingly, will reduce PTW deaths and injuries. The manual is aimed at policymakers and road safety practitioners and draws on experience from countries that have succeeded in improving powered two-and three-wheeler safety. It includes recommendations for developing and implementing powered two-and three-wheeler safety programmes and advice on how to monitor and evaluate progress. A particular focus is the design and implementation of interventions that include legislation, safer roads, safer vehicles, enforcement, and public education/advocacy measures. |
