IT Specialist with extensive experience as a System Administrator, currently working at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Solidarity. In this role, I manage the ministry’s IT infrastructure, ensure system security, and optimize server performance. My technical expertise, along with my ability to collaborate across various departments, has allowed me to contribute to the continuous improvement of the ministry’s systems, particularly in supporting social protection initiatives.
Since 2017, I have been closely involved in maintaining and improving the national household registry, a vital tool for Djibouti’s social protection programs. My work has focused on resolving technical issues, enhancing system functionalities, and ensuring that the registry operates efficiently to support the identification and assistance of vulnerable households. In 2019, I played a key role in drafting the terms of reference for the creation of the beneficiary registry, which now plays a central role in Djibouti’s social protection framework.
While I have not yet implemented AI solutions, I am eager to learn more about how these technologies can be applied to social protection systems. My participation in the upcoming workshop on artificial intelligence and social protection represents a significant opportunity to deepen my understanding of AI’s potential and to explore innovative ways to improve the services offered to vulnerable populations in Djibouti.
