The Asia Water Forum (AWF) is ADB’s flagship knowledge sharing event on the water sector. This year’s theme focuses on “Information, Innovation, and Technology”.

Water is fundamental to sustaining Asia’s progress and inclusive prosperity, and yet the region is facing serious challenges in managing supply and ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of water services. Tapping the trifecta of ‘information, innovation, and technology’ could be the game changer that will improve Asia and the Pacific’s water security. Information should be gathered and used better to innovate and harness technology that will help the region achieve SDG 6, water and sanitation for all.

The goal of AWF 2018 is to increase the awareness and knowledge of water practitioners and decision makers, and to identify strategies to adopt and scale up innovation and technology throughout the region. ADB also aims to keep the profile of water high on the region’s development agenda.
