Responsible for developing new and innovative financing solutions and providing support for market development to enable mainstreaming of new products. Also responsible for pilot testing innovative solutions to demonstrate proof of concept.
Farizan d'Avezac de Moran, Senior Partner, GreenA Consultants
Farizan is a Senior Partner and leads the team at GreenA Consultants, with projects in Asia and Africa . Farizan is a Board member of Singapore Green Building. She has worked for many organizations such as UN Habitat, GIZ, ADB and GGGI as external technical expert .
Based in Singapore with multiple projects in African and Asia she is instrumental in the different governmental agreement with BCA and Africa to promote green legislation across Africa .
She was behind the affordable housing projects in Tanzania which was showcased in the City21 during COP which cataloged sustainable urban projects to promote best practices in sustainable urban development. Among other notable projects include Zero Energy DBS Newton Lightyear, Zero Energy , Positive Energy Takeda, Positive Energy Singapore Discovery Centre, and Super Low Energy PSA Maintenance Base.
A go-getter, her will, passion and advocacy for sustainability are demonstrated in her works, which culminated in the conferment of the BCA-SGBC Green Building Advocate Award 2015, RICS Women of the Built Environment Southeast Asia 2024 and Schneider Green Award 2023 for digitalization.
Elizabeth Satow, Area Vice President - Asia Pacific, Habitat for Humanity International
Elizabeth “Liz” Satow is a humanitarian and development leader with more than 20 years of experience leading multinational teams in complex contexts. She has deep expertise in implementing organizational strategies and is passionate about fostering inclusive cultures. Liz excels in change management, coaching and mentoring — helping individuals and teams realize their potential. She has a proven track record in fundraising with institutional donors, including USAID, the World Bank and the European Union. Her extensive field experience spans countries like Nepal, India, Haiti, Jordan and the Philippines, where she has focused on both long-term development and immediate disaster relief. As a consultant, she contributed as a contracted senior evaluator to the USAID Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance global COVID response evaluation and also served as interim national director for World Vision International Laos. She previously served as national director for Plan International Nepal and national director for World Vision International Nepal, where she demonstrated her ability to enhance organizational health, ensure accountability and drive successful disaster responses. Liz is from the United States, though she was born in India and has spent a significant part of her life in Asia. She holds a Master of Arts in international development from The American University and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from The College of Wooster. Liz is also a certified life and executive coach.
Murodjon Farmanov, Chief Executive Officer, Uzbekistan Mortgage Refinancing Company
Murodjon Farmanov is the Chief Executive Officer at Uzbekistan Mortgage Refinancing Company. He assumed his role in July 2020 with nearly 15 years of experience in investment and development banking. Prior to his current role Murodjon had worked at European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation primarily within Financial Institutions sectors.
Murodjon holds BSc (Hons) from Tashkent State University of Economics, MSc from the University of Liverpool, and a charter from the Chartered Financial Institute.
Angelo Tan, Country Lead for Climate Business Philippines, Malaysia, and the Pacific, IFC EDGE
Angelo Tan is the Country Lead for the Philippines, Climate Business of the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group. In this role, he forges partnerships with real estate developers, investors, building professionals, certification providers, academia, and public policy makers across the Philippines, towards advancing the adoption of EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) –– an integrated online platform, green building standard, and certification system designed to make green buildings much more accessible, affordable, and inclusive for emerging markets and developing economies.
From a broader perspective, Angelo manages IFC’s green buildings program in the Philippines, creating and executing a countrywide strategic growth plan and serving as the face of the program in engaging with the community to democratize green buildings. The mission is to catalyse a virtuous cycle of supply and demand for resource-efficient buildings by setting a metrics-driven definition of what constitutes a green building, rewarding property developers for building green, increasing regulatory pull, and promoting direct investment.
Angelo has a decade of real estate experience in mixed-use development management, commercial real estate transactions, and architecture business development. He finished his Master of Sustainable Built Environment degree at UNSW Sydney and is accredited with various green building rating systems. Angelo is passionate about the nexus of sustainability and business value as manifested in how real estate firms develop and innovate amidst the time of climate change. He also believes that the ongoing discourse on sustainable design can be steered towards increasing opportunities for developing countries to participate
Mr. Monu Ratra stands at the forefront of India’s affordable housing finance transformation. With over 25 years in the financial sector, he has consistently challenged conventional boundaries to create a business model that is scalable, profitable, and socially aligned.
At IIFL Home Finance, Mr. Ratra has pioneered a technology-first approach that reimagines how housing finance reaches underserved segments. By digitizing the entire loan lifecycle—from onboarding to disbursal—he has made housing finance faster, more cost-effective, and significantly improved customer experience. His innovations have enabled the inclusion of credit-invisible populations, unlocking better credit access for those who need it most.
But for Mr. Ratra, housing is more than a transaction—it’s a tool for social transformation. He has embedded sustainability into the company’s DNA, championing green housing and driving a larger shift towards environmentally and socially conscious lending practices.
