Denton Rarawa is the Senior Economic Adviser and Team Leader of the Economic Policy Team at the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS) in Suva, Fiji.  As part of his responsibilities at the Forum Secretariat, Mr Rarawa provides key policy advice and support to the Senior Management Team at PIFS and to Forum Member States on economic and financial issues confronting the region, such as regional initiatives for economic recovery from the impacts of COVID-19.  Before joining the Forum Secretariat in July 2020, Mr Rarawa was  the Governor of the Central Bank of Solomon Islands (CBSI) for 11 years.  Mr Rarawa holds a Master of Science Degree from the University of Wales, UK, a Graduate Diploma from ANU, and Degree in Economics, from UPNG.
