Session 2A: What factors explain development projects’ performance? (Auditorium 1)
Rationale: Development partners like ADB adapt their development
assistance to country- and project-specific contexts to enhance the achievement
of results. Underpinning tailored
solutions to address country and project barriers requires constant and
continuous learning that takes stock of challenges and lessons when preparing,
designing, implementing, and monitoring development assistance. This session
will examine country and project factors that affect the performance of
development projects. It will draw on the insights and perspectives from
research, government, operations, and evaluation stakeholders to identify
country and project factors that drive the achievement of development results.
